Summer - Why? Church

As we begin 2025, we’re going to be asking a most important question–why?. Why did the risen and reigning Lord Jesus create church? And how does the why help us know how and what we are to be his people?

Terms 1 & 2 - Matthew 13-20 and Learn the Gospel

Then in terms 1 and 2, we’ll be seeing and hearing Jesus as he shows how his kingdom is ‘right side up’ (and we’re upside down).

During term 1 our Growth Groups will be studing Matthew 13-17 . Then in term 2 we’ll be refreshed as dig deep into Learning the Gospel .

Term 3 - 2 Kings & 1 John

All good things come to an end. In 2 Kings we trace the fall of the kingdoms of Judah and Israel. But even through this, God’s promises and hope remains–there is a future!

When we experience temptation and sin or hear different ideas about Jesus, many of us wonder whether we can be sure. 1 John is written to give believers assurance of life in Jesus.

During this term we’ll be studying 1 John in our Growth Groups .

Term 4 - Daniel

In times of suffering and distance from everything we know and love, God can also seem far away. The Old Testament book of Daniel teaches that God is faithful even in a far place.
